What We Do

Agriculture and the food system, including the wine industry, are significant contributors to climate change, environmental damage, water shortages, extreme downpours, and the loss of biodiversity.

To build a healthier future, we must drastically change how we use land to grow food, restore ecosystems, and support farmers, communities, and local economies.

The Dodon Center is answering this call.

Through practical education, regenerative practices, and strategic partnerships, we seek to reshape our region’s food system from the ground up. Our focus is on soil health, biodiversity, and local food production—bringing together farmers, consumers, and policymakers to build a resilient and fair future. We plan four activities to accomplish our goals:

  • Apprenticeships for new farmers seeking several years of hands-on experience with experienced mentors.escription text goes here

  • Technical workshops for more experienced farmers and educators.

  • Convening organizations that seek to solve complex ecological, health, and social problems.

  • Salon Talks intended to appeal to the public from speakers who will inspire action.
